The Male Bond

Mar 20, 2013

A recent article in the New York Times caught our attention as it related to males and friendship.  It’s been conventional wisdom that males do not open up to others as much as females do and that males tend to have fewer intimate relationships than women, as well.  While that may generally be true, we believe that it doesn’t have to be so.  We believe that males are capable of forming intimate relationships of value, trust, honesty, enjoyment, integrity and mutual support.  We believe that we need them to be our healthiest and best selves.

It is articles such as this one – “The Male Bond” – that are good reminders of the essential role that males can play in the lives of other males.

We’d be curious to hear your thoughts and to start a dialogue from our readers about this subject.   Please share your opinions and experiences.
